Inter Milan have confirmed that Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will be joining them next season.
The Serie A outfit says the 32-year-old Serbian has signed for them, although refused to reveal the length of contract the player has
inked.
Vidic, who has won five league titles with the premier League champions since joining for £7m from Spartak Moscow in December 2005, confirmed his intention to end an eight-and-a-half-year stay at United last month.
“Vidic is a world-class player,” Inter president Erick Thohir told his club’s website.

“I’m extremely happy to have completed this deal to bring Nemanja to Milan. He’s one of the world’s best defenders and his qualities, international pedigree and charisma will be an asset to the team and help bring through our younger players.
“He will bring added value to the club and is another piece of the great Inter side we are building. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Manchester United, Nemanja and his entourage for the professional and cooperative approach they have shown throughout the negotiations.”
The decision for the centre-back, who has made over 204 league appearances for the ‘Red Devils’ since making his debut against Blackburn in January 2006 is mutual, said United manager David Moyes.
He remained United’s skipper, despite announcing his decision to part ways with the club.
Inter are fifth on the Serie A log, 11 points behind third-placed Napoli, and are- like United- on the verge of losing out of next season’s Champions League.
